Anyone heard of Trinity U?

Anyone heard of Trinity U?

I live in Texas and I heard a lot of smart people go here, but I was wondering if anyone else knows anything about Trinity University?

Two of my best friends and two other really good friends of mine are freshmen at Trinity this year. It's an outstanding school (one of the best in Texas, in my opinion), has a very strong undergraduate focus, is located in one of the best cities in Texas (and the South, imo), and has a pretty campus. They're really excited about it, and I'm excited about the chance to visit them there, hehe.

I thought Trinity was in CT.

Suze: Trinity College is in Hartford, CT. Trinity University is in San Antonio, Texas.

I thought Trinity was in England.

My boyfriend LOVES Trinity and will probably be applying there Early Action. He said that the school is one of the best kept secrets of higher education--it's beautiful campus is filled with southern charm, redbrick buildings and perfectly manicured lawns. It is not yet a highly selective university, mostly because it hasn't acquired much name recognition outside of the South, but it attacts many of the top students from Texas and is quickly becoming more nationally recognizable. My boyfriend says that while the kids are obviously highly intelligent, the atmosphere isn't all academics and grades; the kids really know how to have a good time too. They also have an outstanding sports program and been league champs in football for the past 14 years in a row, winning the president's trophy (for best overall sports program) for the past 6 years straight.

Perhaps his favorite thing, though, were the dorms: he said they all have their own balcony, and once a week maintence people actually come and vacuum your dorm! (Or whatever floorspace is left in your dorm; it's your responsibilty to pick up for them.) He said that when they're done, they leave mints on your pillow. :)

its a good school. i was thinking about applying there early on, but never did.

Excellent big LAC/small university in TX, great city, active sports scene, moderate Greek life, pretty campus on a hill
