Has anyone from out of state received an admissions decision yet for Fall of 2008?

I found out on Friday that I got in (online) and received my official letter in the mail today. Still waiting for the acceptance/rejection from Plan II Honors though.

You should get the Plan II Letter within the week. I'm in state and got it on Monday.

But I'd have to say that the fact you've been admitted is probably a good sign as they very rarely admit out of state people this early in the admission cycle.

The Plan II letter does state that your admission to the program is "contigent upon your acceptance to the university." So theoretically you could get in to Plan II and somehow not get in to UT. The only way I could see this happening is if a student had a very low class rank at an excellent high school but it very rarely if ever happens.

When did you apply?

UT had all of my documents by the middle of October, so it took them about 2 months to process me. The processing time will only get longer as the year goes on.

I got my Plan II acceptance in the mail yesterday!!

Ok, thanks for the info and congratulations on being accepted into Plan II!
