My strongest major is math and science. I scored over 100% on many of my science classes and math classes. Now I am a junior and I am in pre-calculus honor now. still I feel it simple(regret on not taking AP calculus). At the same time I am in AP physics, which usually should be taken in the Senior year. And I only need to do some practise to follow along the course(which means I don't have a really hard time yet). But I never plan to be a scientist or mathematician.

Instead of all bunch of science stuff. I love drawing more, so I took the AP studio art last year. even I got an A in that class, But I only got a 3 on the AP exam, which frustrated me.

Anyone has the same feeling?
Any idea?
welcome to discuss

I have a Daughter who got mostly A's in Calculus. Who loved Human Physiology & Anatomy. Who scored a 27 on her ACT (the same as her classmate that is in pre-med). She graduated in the top 10% of her class with Highest Honors (3.7 or higher). She might have had a higher GPA if she hadn't spent 25 hours a week on her dance.

She is now in a small college in Illinois, studying Musical Theater.

My advice is to follow your heart, not your GPA.

Also keep in mind that doing well in high school subjects doesn't necessarily carry over in college. I know of several kids who have been math/science whizzes in their high school setting (and this includes at very highly rated, competitive high schools) who find themselves to be average at best at their colleges (especially at top-rated universities).

i feel the same way as you do.....im really good in math and science but i hate those subjects with a passion...im only taking them so they make my transcript look nice........but alteast you like art...i dont really know what i like yet so i think im gonna apply to universities as undecided

I do not hate math, instead I have a kinda good feeling during I am doing difficult problem, because i know i am gonna solve it. I like chem, I have a feeling of pride after balanced a extreme hard reaction, I am just love them. But I never plan to take major in math or science. I love drawing more. So I am kinda shifting around and cannot decide which major to take

by the way the reason I love art and design is because I play video game since I was 6, and I watched how it developed from very simple graphic to high tech 3d realistic graphic, I am just total in love with the graphic stuff. an other reason is that I studying painting when I was 3, and I like to doodle on my textbook( never do that, or you gonna pay for it) for years. I like to doodle on my test paper, my notebook and anywhere I can find space.
