Anyone here from Ross Scholl of Business=preferred admittance?

When does Ross School of Business respond on preferred admittance?

i applied to this also, so ive been wondering also.

Ross responds in March and early April.

not to step on alexandre's toes here...as i know he's got the knowledge in greater abundance and depth than any of us, but on the tour i took over the summer the assistant admissions director says it's often late april/early may. this was confirmed by the fact one of my friends, who is a year older than me, didn't hear back until the first week of may.

i think they hope to get decisions out in march/april but every year their # of applicants has increased, and with this year being the biggest graduating class...ever...i highly doubt things will be any different than last year. :]

sorry sillyjilly I think either the tour guide was mistaken, you heard wrong, or maybe we are all missing something here because getting a response in early may would mean that you would have to commit to UMich on May 1 without knowing if you got into the bschool or not. Especially for OOS that is a big draw and could be a decision-making difference so I am sure they will respond back sooner than early may, and I am pretty sure that they respond in March due to common sense and I believe that is what my regional rep told me at my school info session

I didn't hear back until mid-late april, but I think that's because it was the first year of the program.

And they only accept like 10% of people that apply to pre-admit, right, so you need like 3.8+UM GPA, 33+ ACT to even have a decent chance?

It's more like 20% offer rate, but out of the total applicants, only 10% actually attend. But yeah, you'll need outstanding grades, test scores, essays, and extracurriculars to stand a chance. The average for last year's admitted class was like a 3.8, 32 ACT, 1450 SAT. But, a candidate with a 3.7 GPA who took all IB/AP classes has a way better shot than a 4.0 candidate with 1AP and some honors.

Ok, 20% is still better, but UM's a pretty selective school, and those numbers are pretty high, lol.

Well, it's a premier undergrad b-school. Obviously, it's going to be selective.

Ross looks at math scores the most, correct?

Also, did you guys know that Stephen M. Ross is an owner of the Miami Dolphins?

still is? or wat? interesting.

The_Chronic, the they value strong quantitative skills. Aside from math, it's probably econ, physics, chem, stats, etc.

Yeah he currently owns like half of the Dolphins and Dolphin Stadium.

ESPN - Bill Parcells has opt-out clause, could walk away from Miami Dolphins

3rd paragraph. Same Stephen Ross (look at wikipedia too)

And I meant like Math scores on standardized tests...

For standardized tests, I'm pretty sure they just look at the composite.
