Hey guys,
You know UMich has not allowed any applicants to submit their application to Ross School of Business for their freshmen year, right?

But then, I have recently heard about how Mich has changed her policy that now let us apply to Business school for freshmen. I thought we're supposed to apply to School of Arts and Sciences or Engineering and take prerequisite courses in freshman and soph year, and then transfer to B School in junior year.

Yeah the high school graduating class of 2006 can apply directly to the bschool, our class can't. I'm not sure about the details, I'm wondering the same thing.

yes you are right the class of 2005 cannot apply directly to the bsch. however i think that you will have the chance to do so after your freshman year.

as for the admissions policy in 2006, i really don't know how that's gonna work out, but i would think that they would accept you into the u of m first, then from there select the initial 70 students for the bsch

sin_87, I am considering attending UMich next fall and anticipate to study business. YOu said the class of 05 can apply to the business school after freshman year, is the acceptance rate going to be the same? also, what is the acceptance rate? thanks!

You apply to the B-school in sophmore year - for junior year admission. They look for GPA of about 3.6, community service, leadership and work experience. I believe the acceptance rate is about 50%. For fall 2006, they're going to take 70 students directly into the program as freshmen. I imagine they will also continue to admit students as juniors during a phase-in period because there are about 350 BBA students per class right now.
