Anyone here transferred from Georgia State?

<h1>I know this is kind of incoherent, but just hear me out. It's copy pasted from another thread.</h1>

<p>I have a plan... I'm an Accounting major right now. Georgia State University is cool... I mean, homeless people, disjointed buildings, but hey, the program is ranked up there. By contrast, GA tech's undergrad acct isn't (though it's MBA coupled with an accounting focus is higher).</p>

<p>Yah any gastate transfers, how you liking this new school?</p>

Oh yeah, I just finished freshman year. I'm thinking of transferring for Spring 2009 or Fall 2009.</p>

<h2>Also, another crazy plan. If I go to Tech Spring 2009, I might go to UGA my 1st semester junior year... Then I'll see where everything takes me? </h2>

<p>So basically, if anyone's been from State to UGA, how is it? Also, how does my plan sound?</p>

<p>I talked to someone who was an Acct major at State and he was glad he transferred, but he found the classes at UGA a lot more challenging. Almost failed his first accounting class at UGA vs getting A's at state.</p>

<p>Other people I know who have transferred from State in other majors have all done pretty well and glad they moved. Academically you just need to have the work ethic, but they also enjoyed being in a bigger social environment.</p>

<p>Hey Space, what grade (soph/junior) was he in when he transferred?</p>

<p>Everyone I know came in as Juniors. (Did 2 years at State and then 2-3 at UGA)</p>
