<p>Id like to test into Mandarin 4 ...can anyone tell me what its like? is the writing section hand written or pinyin into software?</p>

<p>Mandarin 4 at what college? or is it high school? What integrated Chinese books? If you don’t know characters, you don’t sound ready to even skip Chinese 1 in a college.</p>
<p>If, however, you speak and listen much better than you read and write, you may be placed into a course for heritage speakers, if such is offered.</p>
