i got my schedule made this last week at CTOPS, and i was wondering if anyone could give any feedback on the profs i have as far as workload, teaching style, quality of teaching, etc. any personal stories you have of them would be fantastic. i just want to know what to expect when i get there. thanks in advance!

chem 101- gary pielak
chem 101 lab- lisa volaric
dram 116 (perspective in theater)- k strong
engl 128 (major amer. authors)- leslie frost
germ 060 (avant-garde cinema FYS)- richard langston

Um, you won’t have much contact with Volaric, it’s mainly your lab TA that you will have contact with. You don’t go to her unless there is a problem, generally. If you can, I’d try to get into Todd Austell’s Chem 101 class during drop/add. He’s amazing (that’s pretty much the consensus…not just my opinion, although I happen to agree with popular opinion on this one). Don’t know anything about the others though.

DRAM 116 with ken strong is an okay class…Ken Strong is one of the funniest professors I’ve ever met, he’s awesome BUT the class is harder than it needs to be. I never went to class…it was useless…but sometimes I went just to listen to Prof. Strong and his goofiness (i.e. dancing in class, playing 50 cent, etc.)…the class is not an easy A. It’s an easy B or B+ though…
