The vice-president told me it’s 50% your chosen school and 50% the admissions board. Your school first has to send in your name to the admissions commitee before they can even consider you to be moved up to fall. once your name is submitted to the commitee for your school, then you will be considered by the commitee.

I don’t know about the situation you were describing with the other girl at your school and it increasing your chances…I would imagine it would improve your chances, but don’t quote me. Did you do any PRing, like sending any emails, letters, phone calls to notify them of your inerest of moving to fall and any new updates about you??

I’ve corresponded a few emails with the woman in charge of recruiting and undergrad admissions at my school, but nothing about what I’ve been doing since applying/acceptance (not much to say beyond a few OCAD awards :/). Would it be too late to do that? Probably, huh?

btbam-I have no idea around what time they call you at.

sleepwelldarling-At least you did something!!! I sent emails to the admissions scounselors for the school of theatre, an email to my personal admissions counselor and sent in a letter to the center of admissions. I basically just said how i’ve won a bunch of acadmeic and leadership awards since sending in ym application, how i’m winning a huge award for my lead role in a show in st. louis and how i;ve been asked to perform ina professioanl show this summer with only 10 other teens. I also met with the dean of the theatre school a coupel of weeks ago to dsicuss the posibility of moving up.

i’ve been in close contact with the vice president and he said it’s not baout quota and how many peopl are at ur schhool…its about how much they like you.

I didn’t mention anything new to the people when I visited/emailed… I just mentioned the other schools I got into (Cal + UCLA) and how USC is still my #1 when it is spring admission and why I like USC more… I didn’t send in a letter to center of admissions but I guess meeting and talking with my local admissions person in the office down there is enough since she said if the ‘committee’ asked for names to move people up, she would mention me.

If anyone finds out about people being moved from spring to fall or anyone getting a call within the next couple of days we should post on this thread!!!
