Anyone knows the percent of people who apply for Financial Aids?
much difference in US and international students?

I don’t know, but WHY IS STANFORD SO STINGY
The only top 5 uni without int’l need-blind aid.

Personally, I cannot afford 50k a year, and it’s not like it’s hard enough to get in as an international already
They are probably reserving their aid for Africans … sucks for others.

^That’s a new one!

[College Search - Stanford University - The Farm - Cost & Financial Aid](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)

1051/1703 is about 61 percent.

P.S. StarsAligned, I wouldn’t call Stanford stingy. Their average financial aid package is over $40,000!!!

hahaa yeah never heard that one before…

I am looking at it from an international point of view.
Perhaps of US citizens. For internationals, why can’t Stanford overlook financial aid? Even Dartmouth does.

Your neighbor to the north only sends a handful a year, bearing with Stanford’s acceptance rate, and now I have to worry about money. >: (

starsaligned,
it sucks for us (internationals)…
you are applying EA too?
are you gonna apply for FA then?

If you apply for aid and get in, you will of course have your need (based on International Student Declaration of Finances, etc…) met.

I think Dartmouth is majorly competitive among international students for precisely this reason.

In any case, I think getting into Stanford with FA as an international will be about as hard as getting into HYPM as an international. The non need-blind policy for international kids just makes it slightly easier for people who don’t need FA to attend (which I think is still harder than if you are a US citizen).

^ Agreed. Unfortunately most of us aren’t rolling in dough.
No I’m not applying for EA … Stanford is not too high on my application list because of how hard it would be for me to get in.
If I finish my other apps in time, maybe RD.
And yes I will have to apply for FA because I would go bankrupt at 55k/year.
