Anyone living off campus?

Im just curious. I'm an incoming freshman and I opted to live at grandmarc because I just could not see myself paying more to live in the dorms. Any freshmen feel the same way? or any older students live in one of the three non ucr apartment complexes? or perhaps rent a room in a house? I'm just wondering what its like and for more or less any advice.

I am a 2nd year and I’m living in a house with my friends.

I’m a second year and I’m also moving into grand marc. I know what you mean, I liked living in the dorms just because it put me close to campus and other freshmen but I don’t think it would be too bad, especially since grand marc is so close to the trolly that can take you to campus.

I’ll be a fourth year this year. Last year I lived in the UV Towers and this coming year I’m moving to Grand Marc

Did you live in the dorms your first year? If you don’t mind providing some details to your living arrangements this year, that’d be great because I think I might want to do that eventually.

Yah i figured i could just ride my bike or take the trolley whichever I felt like. Do either of you know what time we can start moving in? Also what about our roomates do we just meet them the day we move in? I just got a letter from grandmarc telling my unit number and about smartclick and that’s about it.

i am living in a house of rustin, i lived in west lo last year. I loved it but I owe US bank and Uncle Obama my first child thanks to that

There was no word about when, all I even know is the 19th. And I called up grandmarc about finding out my roommates and they gave me first names but I don’t think they’re giving out any other kind of info, so I’m assuming yes you just meet them on day one. But you could probably also call about the move in time. If you do find out can you message me here, please?

I’ll probably call sometime this week. I want to say that I remember the guy telling me it was at noon, but it was better to come early and that there was a $30 dollar fee for a credit check or something. Yah I’ll just call tomorrow becuase I can’t remember.
