i am planning on not taking the AP Physics B exam--although i am in the class.
Good idea?
I have managed to get an A every making period, but I do not feel that I am adequately prepared to get either a 4 or 5 on the exam (after taking a few practice tests--i got only 30 out of the 70 MC correct :p)

My teacher however, is going to be ****ed off if i do not take the exam.
And she's making it seem like its mandatory.

What should I do???

I feel confident about APUSH and Eng.Lang, but just not physics :(

if you take it, it can’t hurt. but if you really, really don’t want to, your teacher can’t really do anything. :
i’m not taking a few tests that don’t transfer to my college.

What are you missing on the MC?
Have you been slacking the whole year, and don’t know the content? Or do you just need to brush up on old material?

zhangm94-- my teacher is just really bad…everyone in the class is lost
like the things i do know, i’ve taught myself.
but like i began to realize that i was devoting way too much time to just physics (i mean hours and hours a day). so i stopped and said forget it, i need to also focus on history and english…be.c i know i can get a 5 on those exams.

so i am familiar with the content…like when i reviewed what i got wrong–it was usually just a silly mistake or something.

If you already paid the exam fee…then you’ll be worse off if you don’t just take it. If you didn’t, then I guess you don’t have to take it. The only thing though is now you don’t have anything to show for the class and all the hard work you put in. I understand though…if my school didn’t make it mandatory to take the APs, I probably would have taken a few more AP classes since, minus the exam, they would be much less stressful.
