Anyone on here made a I_O?

As in, IMO, IPhO, IChO, IBO, IOI, IGeO, etc.
Has anyone here made any of the International Science Olympiads?

Serious answers only please.
As I'm sure at least some of you have, has anyone ever got a MEDAL on one of these? What was it, bronze, silver, gold?

Regarding these contests, I am pretty sure it would be impossible to even qualify for one of these and not get a perfect SAT score or all A's, so anyone who's smart enough to get to one is a shoo-in at any college.

i have a friend who did. but he’s a god.
oddly enough he didn’t have very good grades (as in C’s)
i think he was brilliant but didn’t care all that much about schoolwork.

I have a friend who’s a junior right now who will be doing the IMO. Apparently he’s ranked first in the state (NJ) and fourth in the country.

He really is a math genius. It’s insane what he can do in his head in just a few seconds.

Can someone tell me what exactly the International Philosophy Olympiad consists of? Are they solving problems like the other ones?

I’m not sure if you’re joking, but I heard that it’s basically a sculpture competition. You get a small cart of plato, and you hobbes to make what you’re told and put it back on descartes. The trick is that you kant use more plato than you’re given, and you get top marx if you have none left. The top spots are really a locke for the ones that are best at finhegeling. I heard that the group in Berkeley does it with a lot of humer.

^ Many internets to you, good sir.
