Anyone out-of-state committing?

Hi! So I've noticed that a very large majority of the students at UIUC are from in-state Illinois.
Just curious, anyone not from Illinois committing?

Hey! I’m from New Jersey!

Yeaaaa from Bergen County NJ…so excited

Also from NJ!

New Jersey as well!

<— All the way from Oregon

Ultimate cap (and all other posters)- Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Illinois. I did my undergraduate work there and graduated in 1989. You might find it interesting that at that time, only 3% of the students were out-of-state. I believe that the schools out-of-state population is now somewhere around 20 to 25%.

Three students from my D’s HS in the Los Angeles area committed - 1 engineer; 2 business school.

It’s 8% I heard. I’m from nj!

Mighty Michigan (SE) entering CoE

Chicago Tribune reported in Dec. 2012 that 25% of the freshman class (2016) was OOS - highest ever.

California represent!
