Have you participated in Biology Olympiad? How prestige is Biology Olympiad? What does it (just smart or good memory or finishing AP Biology) take to be successful in Biology Olympiad?

I want to know this too.

eww i fricken hate biology with a passion i want to never take this subject again in my entire life and if i have to i may contemplate suicide. grr.

why do u hate biology so much?

I'm just...not interested in it. And it was my worst subject all year.

i guess its hard if you're not interested- i liked learning about genetics and evolution

ill admit i liked evolution..its ok once i understand it. but the thing is...even when i understand it i still do bad on the test most of the time. Its usually around a 77 on the test..no matter how much studying, asking questions, extra help.

know campbell (having AP under your belt is almost a must).

it seems much more study/memorizing oriented than the other olympiads, at least to me.

it's certainly prestigious if you make it to the international or even national level (camp), but not as prestigious as the math olympiad.
