Anyone received admission decision from UT at Austin for Class of 2017 ?

Yes, I stand corrected. Somehow I confused the $50 application fee with the deposit that needs to be paid when the housing contract is signed.

However, I would still imagine that the majority of “early birds” for housing are in-state auto admit applicants. Out-of-state applicants would more likely choose to wait before applying for housing because of the higher level of uncertainty about admission.

My son is from Georgia and got admitted on Tuesday. There was no email, we just happened to check his status and it said CONGRATULATIONS… He was admitted to his first choice- Advertising. He has friends from here who have not gotten accepted yet.

I continue to hear that all the good UT housing is gone early. Makes sense it’s by the auto admits. I also hear that fraternities rush Texas kids in the spring and summer, making it very hard for an OOS to get in. Anyone have any info on these items?

OOS here, just got my letter of acceptance yesterday (for Jackson school of geosciences, anyone else on here applying there?) I was surprised because I was sure they were sending the decision in a month.

Any international students gotten a reply?
If not does anyone know the exact timing of the notification? Because all it says is before march 1st.

@kidsparent1234 Congrats! What major did he apply for? So far all CA acceptances we know of have only been McCombs Business.

I got admission in EE International India
All the best

@Osserpusser his first choice was Advertising and that’s what he got.

DS noticed his portal had changed to admitted over two weeks ago, but no letter in the mail yet. Anyone else have to wait that long for verification?
