Anyone REJECTED from Boston Conservatory?

I know this is probably not the kind of post that anybody really puts up... but I am quite curious for several reasons. On a personal note, boco is my top choice school. I just want to know what the auditioner feels they could have done different, and maybe give me tips on what to avoid. I'm trying to prep myself! If there's anyone who is willing to share their experience, I'd appreciate it. thank you!!

MTgeek -- i just got done with my audition there....and i'm not going to lie, this thread SERIOUSLY heightened my nerves about the letter that comes in 6 weeks!!!!!!!

Sorry it wasnt my intention to stress any1 out. im just trying to get some feedback

no no no, that's fine, i totally understand.

let me say from being there last weekend that i really enjoyed my audition. neil donohoe (director of MT, he watches the auditions) was very very kind, as was the dance instructor (all i know is that her last name is chasse, hahaha).

best of luck!

My daughter auditioned for BOCO in Chicago. I think the best thing you can do to help your audition is RELAX. You appear to want this so much and that will only make you more tense. Some mental tricks are to tell yourself (and really believe it) that plan B is a great option also. Then just try to do your best, but that's all you can do. Be sure to let them know in the interview how much you love the school and are looking forward to learning all they have to teach, no matter how rigorous. I think your passion for their school will show and they will want to teach someone like you as opposed to somone who is just settling for them, if they didn't get into their first choice. I think they also have the leeway to take in more kids initially with "potential" because of the later cut.
Good Luck and remember there are many paths to take to get into this profession. Megan Hilty is Glinda in Wicked and she graduated from the prestigious CMU. Eden Espinosa is Elphaba and never went to college!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maggie, Ms. Chasse is the teacher we observed teaching a ballet class at BOCO and she was VERY nice. I liked her a lot. My D did not have a dance audition last year for BOCO but she also said the auditors were very nice. The day she auditioned, one of the people was sick who normally judges and so they also video taped everybody.
