Anyone stayed at campus overnight?

Harvard website said:"Stay overnight in one of the residence halls
Our office can arrange for high school seniors to stay with volunteer student hosts for one night, Monday through Thursday, from October 15th through mid-March, while classes are in session. Overnight visits typically end the first week in December and resume the first week in February, just after the beginning of the second semester. We need to hear from you by phone or mail at least three weeks in advance for us to be able to confirm your stay with a host."

Is it worth to do?

I think the overnights are very worthwhile once you have the acceptances in hand and are choosing between the two or three top choice schools. But prior to getting accepted it doesn't seem worth it to me - the chances of getting accepted are too uncertain at that point.

My daughter did an overnight at Harvard and another at MIT after she was accepted, and it helped her solidify her choice.

I agree - the overnight is best after you have acceptances, many students find it helpful to finalize the choice. Before that, it's too speculative to be worthwhile.

Being a recruited athlete, my overnight was paid for. I guess I had nothing to lose, but it definitely changed some misconceptions I had about Harvard. If money's not an issue, go.

well... if the visits end in mid-march and u get acceptances like in april, then how can u do the visit with the acceptance in hand?...

oh yeah. that too. so yeah basically you should go. i can't imagine that going monday-thursday would be fun though. everybody's pretty much studying or doing homework. the main reason my visit was so fun was because i went on a weekend and there was so much to do.

^^
they have an admitted students' weekend in April which includes an overnight stay

ahh ty ailey :)

What about sending research to faculty?
