Would staying overnight at the campus, by signing up through the official Harvard website, increase my chances at all by showing demonstrated interest?

No, Harvard and other high end schools do not measure or care about demonstrated interest. They have tons of applicants who all have a very high degree of interest. And Harvard's yield is already the highest of any college. It's more the 2nd tier schools that track demonstrated interest.

However, an overnight stay might still be useful in helping you decide whether you want to attend Harvard or not. But it's probably not worth the trouble until you actually have an acceptance in hand and are making the final choice between schools.

I stayed at Harvard for a week...and it was amazing...

I didn't arrange it through Harvard though, because they only let you stay one night..and they pick a random volunteer host. I stayed w/ a friend.

Definitaly try to stay there at least a day or two...it will be a great experience..something you can bring up in the app/interview. :)

oh and I meant "Definitely"

Not at all. Not even a small chance.
