2010 SAT and 5.2/6 GPA, in-state? ):

I am also waitlisted =(((((( I am so stressed!

i just called rutgers and they said people on the waiting list may not find out until after may. i’m so stressed because i need to commit to a different university by may 1!

___ - omg,.

prodigy… how did you get waitlisted and I got accepted??? :/

I’m thinking they didn’t just go by SAT or else we should have gotten the same decision.

EDIT: @phoenix: this is the link for scholarships:
Undergraduate Admissions Forms;

SAT scores and GPA are important, but the essay and EC’s matter too.
Everyone on CC is so gung ho about stats that they think, “Oh I have a 2300, I’m a shoo-in.”

No- not at all.

Being waitlisted at any school means that there is a small chance of you getting accepted. You will MOST LIKELY NOT find out before May 1. Colleges over-accept students because students apply to multiple schools. Therefore, people on the wait-list will not be notified until AFTER the accepted students commit. If it turns out spots are still open, people on the waitlist are notified, by random order.

If you have any other offers, it’s best to cross Rutgers off your list.

highachiever793 – i have no idea! but the thing is i had pretty beast extracurrics. too. Maybe they are now racially discriminating. who knows.

Amandacollege: I don’t know if you have a chance of getting accepted.
Honestly, I don’t see the logic behind admission decisions; I know people with high stats who got rejected/waitlisted, and people with mediocre stats who were accepted. I haven’t yet received my decision.
My SATs are 2050: Reading 670, Writing 660, Math 720
GPA 3.9 + I’m NJ resident.

Does anyone with similar scores was accepted?

oh and i forgot to congradulate you, highachiever! you will do great =)

Congratulations everyone who got in. I’m sharing your pain right now prodigy :(

UBuffalo – I guess all we can do is hope and pray. I guess I will have to secure into another school in late April. But lets just hope RU replies earlier than that so we know what to do with our future. =/

just wondering…
does acceptance to the ernest mario school of pharmacy mean pharmD program??
or are there other program in the school…?

^ YES! PharmD= ernest mario congrats!

Thanks! And for all of you who got waitlisted, I wish you the best of luck and hope it ends up working out for you in some way or another. Just remember that there are other options.

hm… i checked today and it says i got waitlisted!! what does that mean now? :(

I got waitlisted. What should I do in this situation? Any advice?

got accepted to the pharmd program yesterday.

here’s my stats for people like me next yr who are desperate for any stats of accepted people

4.11 weighted gpa
2000 (1330 cr + math SAT)
Decent but not spectacular extra curriculars (national honor society, clubs everyone did, some research awards, one hospital internship)
very good essays
decent recs
applied regular decision and i live in NY.

congrats to everyone who made it and good luck to those waitlisted and those applying in future years!

I got waitlisted too.

Can any one answer this for me, if I were to commit to USciences, but then I found out i was admitted to rutgers, could i switch my commitment

I have the same question as rcarney. Are we allowed to switch into the RU after paying for another college IF accepted??? Please help! =) Thanks

you would lose your deposit at any colleges you committed to.
