Anyone still "in review" for UC Davis

It seems that just about everyone here has received their admission results already except for me.

When I logged into the myAdmissions site for UC Davis, the SAT scores that used to be displayed were gone and now the site only says:

“________, thank you for your application to UC Davis for Fall Quarter 2005.
The Undergraduate Admissions staff is reviewing your application. Please be patient and permit us time to complete a thorough evaluation. We will notify you by e-mail and/or postal mail when a decision has been made. You may also continue to check for a decision at this Web site.”

Right now, I am getting sort of worried since I really want to go to UCD. And getting some rejections from some other schools as really made me want to be accepted somewhere.

I am applied for Economics. My GPA isn’t great but my test scores aren’t too shabby either… 3.8 UCGPA/700V/710M/740W/770USH/800IIC

I have my own little theory about this problem and I think it may have been my own causing. My self-reported SAT scores did not match so I e-mailed them and they changed it. Does anyone think that this might have affect my admission result? In the end, both the official and self-reported SAT scores were accurate, except they were on different testing dates (I got the same composite score on both dates, but the individual scores math and verbal scores were not the same).

Anyone else suffering from the “in review” crisis?

wow

im surprised you r in review
our stats r pretty similiar
3.9 uw gpa
high 1300s
high 600s-low 700s
superb essay, strong ecs, 500 community service hours, senior + junior class vice president

dont worry, iamtheevilest you will get in sooner or later

Dude I had a 3.3 GPA and about equivalent test scores. YOu'll get in.

Well, I am afraid that possibly my application has been sent through for review again since my test scores changed.

Initially, their system picked my more recent test scores (650/760) but I self reported my older score (700/710). I called them and they said not to worry about it. I e-mailed them and they changed it. This all happened in February.

On the other hand, I didn't even bother calling UCSB about this even though their system did exactly the same thing and I was accepted over there.

Note that I only got a 3.8 UC GPA. My unweighted is like 3.4 and my courseload is pretty easy my last year since I only took 1.5 AP classes (Calculus AB and US Government). Furthermore, I don't think my essays were that good since I wrote them the day before they were due. I don't have any ECs though I have a significant pile of community service hours.

This admissions process is pure torture. I don't think I have ever grown so many gray hairs in such a short amount of time.

Yeah the admission process is pretty tough.

My unweighted GPA is like 3.1 probably. When you drop freshman year I think it actually falls below 3.0. I have faith in you!

I logged into the myAdmission site at about noon and the site status didn't change. But when I went home and logged in at about 3:30PM, the site changed back to the original "in review" page that had my test scores listed again.

This is really, really weird now, since the page has changed but the status of my admission has not.

Maybe the decision will be coming out soon? I sure hope so, this wait is almost killing me.

Your GPA and SAT scores are strong, so I think you'll be able to get in. Two of my friends' are still in review, so I don't think it's uncommon. Maybe it IS the SAT score thing

a lot of my friends r still pending or under review ...

well if you have pretty good gpa and sat i think u will certainly make it

i got in first day

sooner or later, you guys will get in

dont worry

My friend is in review. He has between a 3.0 and 3.5 cumulative. He thinks he's probably borderline.

I don't know what to believe... but I was rejected by UC Davis!

I am going to sit on this for a while and then decide what I am going to do.

im still under review too... i wonder what happened to me

dont worry guys

i heard that uc davis is accepting a lot more ppl this year

ucsb this year is a lot more competitive than uc davis

ucsb admission applicants rose 1.5% this year
while uc davis admission applicants dropped this year

For me, it has been the opposite... Accepted by UCSB and rejected by UCDavis...

SB is good school for engineering,

Davis good for chem and bio, little engineering

Cal state san luis obispo is top #2 in nation for engineering

I don't like math... I was looking for business economics. Anyone know how the business economics is at UCSB?

i think i want to appeal to uc davis, it was one of my top choice schools

uclover8: cpslo is #2 among "public schools that do not offer a degree higher than bachelors" so that basically eliminates all of the UCs (including UCB) and MIT, and Stanford.....so maybe UCD is better than cpslo but you just cant tell

i think ill just go to ucb

agh i was accepted to SB and Davis, but i'd trade them both for an acceptance to UCI... why... must... they... keep... me... waiting??

lol, I probably hold the record for the most posts complaing about UCI's slowness :)

^why would you want to go to uci, go to ucd its better
