It's May 1st and still no reply. Am I the only one? Are they going to reject me just because they don't have any spaces?

Call them.

I'm not going to find out til mid-June...but I'm a transfer. Still so annoyed tho b/c transfer are accepted on space-available basis.

Same here. I won't hear back from McGill till June or July because I'm a transfer applicant.

does anyone know that the acceptance rate is for transfers? Like, out of x amount of transfer applicants, what percentage is accepted?

transfer here and still waiting... has anybody sent their final transcripts in yet??

I remember seeing a statistic somewhere on Yahoo that the transfer acceptance rate for McGill is at around 25%. There were something like 2,000 transfer applicants, and 500 of which were accepted.

I just withdrew from McGill, so there's one more space for you guys :) (Faculty of Art&Sci and Faculty of Science)

Hmm, you didn't like McGill?

oh no, I do like McGill alot. in fact I almost gave up Cornell for it.
but at the end I chose Cornell because I want to do bioengineering, which is not offered at McGill
and also...I've heard it's hard to get academic advices at McGill, which kind of worries me

Well, it's a moot point for you now, but that's because many new students don't know to ask advice from older students in the program from the start. The academic advisors may be out of touch with student reality, only thinking in terms of required courses and apparent strength of the student. If you go talk to the U2's and U3's in the departmental undergrad society lounges you'll get much better academic advice. They know the courses, programs and the profs, and how tough or easy it really is.

hey, thx for pointing that out. my situation's a bit complecated though.
I want to double major in music and science, but also wish to do a master's in biomedical engineering in the future, which means there are many required courses in engineering I have to make up for (mechanics, electric circuit...etc) and I don't feel comfortable doing all that by myself

my status changed 2day to further review required...any transfers' status changed??
