LAMDA

Still waiting, Norther Illinois and Emerson

Financial aid packages don’t typically arrive until the second week of April.

Still waiting on Fordham, @Octaviar! Received a surprisingly generous offer from Emerson on Tuesday, small scholarship and mostly loans from NYU on Monday.

thanks for the reality check everyone… I’ll simmer down now. :-w

I’m still waiting on USC! Certainly not expecting a yes, but it’s just weird to have heard nothing!

You should be able to log into the admissions portal, USConnect, and view your decision. They were posted last Saturday.

Still nothing from Purchase!! I know it is probably a no, but we deserve an answer. Have called two days in a row. No one picks up and voice mail is full!

yep, yep, yep. Emails are returned with instructions to call and then you call, and you get a message saying that they are too busy to pick up.

S just received his rejection letter from Purchase in the mail today. We can move along. Well, we already had…but that was the last decision we were waiting for. Not that it puts S any closer to a decision…
8-}

We still have not heard from Hartford. Tried calling today but just sent to voicemail. It seems a few people heard and some not - anyone familiar with their process?

SUNY Purchase rejection letter arrived today as expected. I must give them credit for a gracious letter. Closure feels good.

Dance DD here: Hart is very unorganized it seems! We got the acceptance letter a few weeks ago, but just heard about the small talent scholarship (not enough to consider Hartt, sadly). They offer no other form of grant/aid from what I understand - nothing from the University. We haven’t received anything from them regarding “official” aid, but we are crossing them off our list because of that. We are still waiting on Fordham, and I know others are too. Seems a common thread for the music/musical theatre/dance kids and these programs that are overwhelmed. They really should be more forthright with their policy, and the typical award amount - would have saved us quite a it of travel expense. Hard to look at the NPC when there is also talent money dangled in front of your nose! I know it really depends on the pool - but Hartt used to be know for being very generous - but with the bigger tuition and more auditions - maybe they don’t have to be as generous? Hard to know. Frustrating, though.

Still nothing from Point Park.

Still nothing formal from Hartt…

It’s getting very boring @bisouu and @entertainersmom , isn’t it? We still haven’t heard from Purchase. I did finally get through on the phone on Friday and he couldn’t tell me anything officially. He said everything had been mailed earlier that week and we should be getting it. Of course we only live the next state over so why it has taken more than a week is a good question…

I believe they are just saying that…nothing has been mailed…

When we went through this process several years ago, SUNY Purchase was the most disorganized application process, audition scheduling, audition day and subsquent rejection process of all schools applied to. They were however the only school that required d and fellow auditioning student (both for vocal performance) and knew each other from a summer at BUTI to waltz as part of their audition.

Still hadn’t heard anything from Purchase. Sent an email to Greg Taylor who responded right away and apologized. He said that all remaining emails should have gone out late night and if my D hadn’t received it, to let him know. I let him know she hadn’t. She had her rejection email within the 1/2 hour.

My D got a letter from LAMDA yesterday - she’s shortlisted and 'her application is on hold until mid-June"
