WHAT RE MY CHANCES of getting in as an astronomy major at UT and an engineering major at Texas A&M with second choice in physics?
my GPA is 3.6 and 49 credit hours
I've written pretty good essays (3)

as for extracurricular activities: Ill have to look but many hours of tutoring at local elementary schools, and several hours as an usher at my church. I know its not the best EC

I'm currently taking Trig and physics. Also I took a solar system class last semester and got an A

And i'm a texas resident. Thanks!

The reason I’m applying to austin as an astronomy major is because I’m not calculus ready which is a requirement to get admitted. the plan will be to study astronomy (which I’m very interested in) and take the appropriate courses to eventually add engineering to my major. I know it will cost a bunch, but i really like Austin and it has a great reputation, as we all know!

i could be wrong but i believe A&M engineering has a calc requirement as well

AWW DAMN IT!!! i just checked your right! you think they take me in physics?
