Anyone use WebAssign?

So, for two of my classes I use WebAssign - my community college math class and my AP Chemistry class. So far, I had no problems with WebAssign except I had to pay for access for my math class.

Today, I discussed problems with friends/classmates and I did the questions right, but the answers I got were not correct, according to WebAssign...

Anyone use WebAssign here? Thoughts?

I use WebWork for my differential equations class…I think it’s sort of similar. I’d rather just have problems from the textbook.

My HS uses WebAssign for AP Calculus classes – I never used it since WebAssign was always used the year after I took the class, for some reason. However I tutored a student who was using WebAssign for his college calculus class, and we went over a problem and obtained the correct answer. However WebAssign marked it wrong because v should’ve been V.

Yeah, I agree, I would rather have textbook problems.
WebAssign is so nit-picky about answers, it’s very annoying.

I’m very annoyed with it right now. I tried everything I could possibly have done wrong and it still didn’t work.

I use it. Check to make sure you have the answers in the exact format assigned, otherwise it won’t be accepted. Or maybe go to your teacher- if he programmed a mistake in, then it isn’t working because of him

In the answer I submitted, I had the correct number of sigfigs. I tried a different problem with the exact same number of digits, and got that right, so I probably need to talk to my teacher.

AP Physics requires students to sign up for WebAssign and I believe they have to pay for it themselves - people have had some issues with it in the past in terms of not accepting correct answers, etc. I suggest going to your teacher.
