So I have always thought that I would someday be a doctor of some sort... Perfect choice for a smart girl right? ;) Well, anyway, I've recently found out (from coursework and just overall experience) that perhaps that might not be the thing for me. Now I have got my heart set on doing something for Disney, preferably imagineering! I'm just looking for advice on how to take steps towards becoming such! I'm a rising junior so I have a lot of time to prepare and that, but I'm quite at a loss as to what I could do to make myself a more attractive candidate. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

What kind of coursework have you done that has identified this new interest?

What specificially is it about Imagineering that excites you?

Have you checked the hiring qualifications Imagineers?

I recently read Randy Pausch’s The Last Lecture, and he wrote a fascinating chapter about becoming an Imagineer for a season. Have you read the book? If not, it would be great summer reading!

^ thanks for replying! I’ve done more research since then and have decided that industrial engineering with some sort of other aspect to it (a useful minor) would be an ideal fit for me. I’ve heard a lot about randy pausch, and i might try reading that book as well!
