Today a friend of mine posted something about applying for Disney College on his facebook, and being an extreme Disney geek, I had to check it out. Unfortunately, the Disney College website is a little ambiguous, and I'm not exactly sure what all the program entails. I'm not sure if you take actual college classes while you're there, if they're Disney-oriented, or if you even take class at all. I've heard great things about it- awesome experience, friends for life, etc- but I've also heard that it's just Disney ripping of eager college kids for cheap labor.

I'm not sure which category I'd fall into if I went to Disney College. I'm used to Florida weather, so that wouldn't bother me. Also, if I do it, I'll probably wait until my sophomore year of college or so, so that I'll be a bit more acclimated to living on my own. Of course, by then it might not be a big deal, because my dad is actually considering taking an engineering job at Disney...but anyways! If that happens, I may not have to live in their apartments. I'm not really wanting to do this so that I can get a bigger job at Disney later in life (although a screenwriting gig would be sweet!); for me, it's more about the experience. I'm aiming to be a writer, and there's no better inspiration for writing than, you know, experiencing things. Besides, I've been going to Disney nearly every summer since I was 5, and my siblings and I always have Disney movie nights. I grew up with this stuff, and I think it'd be cool to see what it's like behind the scenes. Granted, it might not be so cool if my ticket to behind the scenes is cleaning plates at Pizza Planet (that place is hell, for real), but then again, you never know. Ideally, I'd like to be a meet-n-greet Disney Princess because I sort of have that big-eyed Disney princess face (I honestly could totally pass for Belle!), and since I have acting experience and am really good with kids, it's somewhat plausible. But then again, I'm sure there's hundreds of other girls hoping for the same thing.

So, in short, I just want to do the Disney College thing because I love Disney and life's short, man. If anyone has ever been, has a kid that's been, knows someone who has been, or just knows any info about it, let me know!
