I'm never extremely excited about the VMA's since the winners are very predictable, but I'm going to check it out as I do every year. Is there anyone in particular who you want to see, win, perform, etc?

Tyler, the Creator, video of the year. GO.

I personally don’t care anymore about who wins, just for the amazing performances. I know that Lady Gaga will probably try to steal the show like always, but I want her to be outdone by someone this year.

That’s exactly how I feel, it’s as if the awards are completely set up to worship Lady Gaga. -__-

Why watch when I can follow live coverage from my friends via Facebook?

But there’s just something about it that makes me uncomfortable. Like two years ago when Kanye did that thing, no one seems to talk about how Jack Black prayed to Satan on stage not too long after.

Although Kanye’s actions were wrong, I still enjoy his music to the fullest. As far as the Jack Black incident goes, I don’t even remember that happening lol.

^^my point exactly.

I remember that… It was creepy.

I found this article. I don’t believe 100% of what it says, but it brings up some good points.

[The 2009 VMAs: The Occult Mega-Ritual | The Vigilant Citizen](The 2009 VMAs: The Occult Mega-Ritual | The Vigilant Citizen)

“I ask you to grant tonight’s nominees with continued success in the music industry“

I never forgot how he ended the prayer like that. That was no joke.

I hate this whole occult reference, the media tries to do it all the time especially in regard to jay-z. While this article presents some believable points, I honestly could care less. This freemason controversy is getting blown out of proportion and whether the rumors are true, why do people even care? This is exactly why I consider myself agnostic or a borderline atheist, because it’s too much of a headache involved in religion. Science is on my side at all times and that’s my only belief.

If you want to ignore the overt references, then thats your choice. But you cant deny when people come out and say they sold their souls in their songs. And i’m not talking about backmasking, which is a little suspect at times IMO, but at normal standard playing pace.

I believe it in the songs to a certain degree, but some artist do it for fun just to play along with the x

^ That’s pretty stupid then. Why would they promote something that’s not true about them, just so they could play a joke? They’ll lose fans like that.

Tyler The Creator-Golf Wang-Wolf Gang-Swag-Swag-Swag

I didn’t even finish my post and somehow it still got posted lol. Yeah it sounds dumb and the artist won’t necessarily lost their fans. The Beatles backmasked that they buried Paul, but is he dead? No. Did the Beatles lost fans I don’t think so.

Remember when old white guys used to say “swagger”?
