anyone willing to be my interviewee for article.

i have to write a journalism article for our school newspaper about the censorship of that school newspaper in tennessee with the birth control/body art articles. (go figure that im in jersey, but my teacher still wants the article.) is there anyone here (preferably from tenn. but anywhere will do) who would be willing to give me a quote or something to put in my article about it? if you go to the school, that would be EXTREMELY helpful. i will need your real name, your school name, and school city/state to quote you, so if you want to pm me that, its fine. you can also pm me if you have any questions. thanks guys.

u know the purpose of that article u r supposed to write is not to cover the thing in tennessee but relate that to ur school and get quotes from students at ur school. Seriously national news can already be read on the washington post. Why would u want to cover sth that is already known by everyone. Who would want to read sth they already know? this is just my thought b/c i think an important aspect of the school newspaper is to localize national issues.

oh i know that it should be localized but there are so many uninformed kids at my school that if i asked them they would be confused. like "what do you think about that censorship of the tennessee article?" they would say "what?" and there are already about 5 articles for the paper about how the first ammendment applies to the school so that topic is overdone.

well u can provide info or short summary in the beginning and get quotes that applies to only your school. research if there were some censorship issues in ur school paper since it started and tha t might be interesting.

no, actually, that leads to skewed statistics - its called interviewer bias when the interviewer presents a situation AS censorship (something that i think we can all agree most teenagers object to) and then ask them what they think about it.

let me put it to you this way: if i said a billion tons of toxic waste was dumped in the ocean last year and that this waste could, in 10 years, contaminate our drinking water and then asked you if you thought we should regulate ocean waste dumping, what would you say?
