Possible hooks: I think im an URM, though i'm not sure. I've lived in egypt, Saudi arabia, Canada, and the USA (diversity). I speak 3 languages (arabic, english, and french).

So what do you guys think? Do i stand a chance?

Your GPA and ACT are not strong as compared to the rest of the applicant pool. If you are considered a URM that would obviously help.
It’s an iffy proposition for you.
Good luck.

GPA and testscores, as was said. Maybe try the SAT- the GPA is not prohibitively low- top 20% isn’t great, but if you’re from a very strong highschool its certainly doable. But not with a 29. You’ll need at least a 31, better a 32+ to get in. If you take the SAT, shoot for 2250+ to counter your GPA.

So the general consensus seems to be that my ACT score is too low. Though i have a problem. Apps are due on the 1st of January, and i wont even have my ACT results back by then if i choose to retake it. Do i have any options?

Yeah so it’s pretty clear your numbers aren’t as good as most people’s. You pretty much need a ridiculous ACT score to make up for your GPA. I don’t get how you could be top 20% with that GPA (I guess it is weighed, so that kind of makes sense, but really, that’s a low UW-gpa for NU).
