Anyone willing to look my personal statement over?

I have a general personal statement, but I fear that the tone (simplicity = good, progress = moral and social deterioration) will contradict the fact that I plan to be a doctor. My H. English teacher last year gave me the only 100% out of the class, but I'm still iffy about using it.

So far I may be using it for MSU (in-state safety, but the Med Scholars program is a reach) and Brown, which is a definite reach.

Any constructive criticism you could give me is appreciated. :)

sure ill read it!

ps- im from michigan too! where else are you applying?

hmmmm maybe if we trade? pm me if u want

I'll read it. Would you be willing to read mine?

I'll read it, pm me. I'll send you mine whenever I get around to finishing it.

i' ll read it

Woo. PMing them all now, and I'm perfectly willing to swap essays. :)

My finalized* list is as follows:

MSU (safety)
UMich (safe match)
Northwestern (reach)
WUSTL (reach)
Dartmouth (reach)
Brown (reach)

I know it's reach-heavy, but there's no point in applying to more matches that are of equal or lesser academic caliber than UMich because I have a good shot of getting in, and everywhere else would be OOS, more expensive, or both.

I'll read it too

PMed. :)

And the asterik by my 'finalized list'.. I forgot to put that in, and it won't let me edit. It's supposed to say at the bottom:

finalized: adj., last change made within past two weeks

I keep switching up my schools and swapped Cornell for Dartmouth a week and a half ag, but I'm pretty sure those are my final six.
