<p>That someone isn't entirely wrong; you should be wary of those you send an essay to -- though the people that have offered to review it already seem fine. You should be sure to check other posts/threads the "readers" have on here. If the majority of the posts consists of offers to read essays, or very few to no posts at all, I would strongly suggest that you NOT send your essay to them.</p>
<p>Typically, the one advantage you can get from sending it to CC users is honesty and definitely a more objective response than you would get from a parent, friend, etc.</p>

<p>I wouldn't recommend sending it out to random people online. That should be a last (or lazy) resort. Try and get a good teacher or an intelligent parent to take a look at it first. </p>
<p>Though in all honesty, a school like Northwestern probably receives so many essays that the admissions officers wouldn't ever notice if someone else that read yours online stole your ideas.</p>
