My D and I have been looking at the student center. It shows financial aid as “pending”, in one place shows the total amount due correctly, with total charges minus the scholarship. In another place it shows the total amount without the scholarship applied. When I tried to make a payment it does not show the scholarship and wants us to pay the entire amount. Is anyone else having problems?

Your scholarship will show up about a week before classes begin. We wait to pay until it’s posted.

I just paid my DS’s balance. On summary page it says we owe an amount less his scholarships which are pending. When I paid online it says what amount do you want to pay so I entered our balance which it accepted. Can you do that?

I know on what page it say we owe one amount not taking scholarship into consideration and then another amount taking scholarship into consideration. Keep on clicking the different tabs on top under “finanical inquiry” page and you will see the tab that says “make a payment.”

I will go through my DS’s student service center to see if anything is different. Let me know if you need any other help.

Susan

Just checked the student center for my Ds. Go to campusfinances and then click account inquiry. My DS’s no longer shows any amount due in the last column under “summary” since I paid the balance. It shows amount due and then pending financial aid which are the exact same amounts now since I paid the balance. I used online payment and after you put in your checking account number you then can put whatever amount you want to put in for payment.

I know our children have the same scholarship Morrill so it should be the same. If not then call the account number given during orientation in our parent book.

Also is your DD going to Camp Buckeye or is she an OWL? We leave Sept. 12th and DS moves in on the 16th. He will be at Camp Buckeye from the 13th to 15th. I figure i will drive around picking up his junk from places we ordered it at.

Also my DS got a quad too but in Taylor. He has only heard from one roommate whom he talks to a lot and seems like the perfect fit for my DS.

Hi itsv! I heard back from the Financial Aid office and they said that the scholarships would not be applied until 10 days before classes started, which was yesterday. I checked Sunday night, and they must have been doing maintenance because it didn’t show any scholarships at all. The next morning everything was updated and I was able to go in and pay her fees.

My D did not go to Camp Buckeye but she is an OWL. We live in Chicago, and were supposed to leave today, but she chose to go shopping downtown instead yesterday, and is not ready. So we are leaving early tomorrow morning, going to stop at SBX to get her remaining books, and then she checks into Lincoln on the 16th. I will probably cry the whole way driving home but she is so excited I can’t help but be excited too.

I hope your S loves OSU. My D has seen it since birth since both her parents went there. I am still stunned she got this great scholarship.

Susan, I saw that they had applied the scholarships yesterday too when I checked. I am in Columbus now picking up all of my DS’s pre-ordered things. The Container Store at Easton is great and your daughter will love that Mall-there is a ton of stores and restaurants there.

I am so glad my DS is an OWL. People have been telling me that the 19th will be crazy so it is good to be moved in before then. I wasn’t sad at all until yesterday when I dropped him off for Camp Buckeye. I kept on thinking of all the years and things we have done togeather and all of a sudden I am in “Raising Canes” eating my chicken and crying. A very funny site.

check your PM I sent you something.

And yes I am so thankful to he got that great scholarship.
