Anything fun near IU?

I actually visited IU last weekend for the HOST program thing.
(I have been admitted to IU with a direct-admit to kelley back in Dec.)

Since I only stayed for 2 days, I haven't had a chance to thoroughly look around the town.
Please tell me what there is to do around IU!

I'm Korean and I seriously cannot live without Korean food so please dear God tell me that there are Korean restaurants/markets near IU! >_<

Tell me things that will make me really really want to go to IU.

Thanks guys! :)

I’m not sure if you are specifically looking for information about Korean things or all kinds of things to do for fun.

There is a sizable Korean and other Asian population in Bloomington-most have some sort of affiliation to IU. There are several Korean restaurants located near campus or on a campus bus line. Friends tell me that Mama’s Restaurant is the best. I’ve never gone there though as there are other restaurant options closer to my home. I recently completed an online Master’s level program through IU. One of my professors is Korean. She invited us for a Korean lunch. She had no problem acquiring groceries. I know there are several Asian markets which carry Korean foods. A quick google search will show you the options.

The Asian Cultural Center at IU also provides programs and other events for Asian students. I know they have public events with food, etc. See this link:

My D, a senior, has attended numerous off-campus parties held by an Asian fraternity. She is not Asian but was invited.

As for other fun things, what do you like to do? It probably exists at IU.

thank you rrah!!!
