Anything out of the ordinary happen during your test?

Distractions or anything? In my test room, one of the girls ended up getting sick and going to the hospital. She might've had swine flu. I was wondering if anything odd happened to anyone else when taking the ACTs.

Well, the kid next to me kept on falling asleep… the proctor had to wake him up LOL.

Also, there was this kid who finished every test in like 5 minutes, put his head down, and started sniffling. The sniffles got annoying, but not too distracting.

Well, during the break one girl was caught using her blackberry in the hallway. One of the proctors just yelled at her saying “You know I could cancel you scores right now!” etc, etc. She didn’t cancel her scores though, she finished the test.

Also, a different girl in my room canceled her scores in the middle of the reading test and just walked out. That was the first time I’ve ever seen that happen…

That was me! Just kidding.

Fire alarm went off… twice, but we stayed and kept testing. lol

I went to this super preppy boarding school like an hour away from home (nothing against them), and the proctors went around and counted how many questions we finished after each section and wrote it down, so that if they walked around again and saw that more were bubbled in than their original count, they would cancel our score for cheating.

I know it’s “cheating” to do that, but counting every student’s bubbles?! First time that’s happened to me.

The dryerase marker that the proctor used to write the times down SMELLED TERRIBLY. I had to cover my nose for the first five minutes of each test.
It was quite funny.

Someone’s cellphone vibrated during one of the tests. Nothing happened.

While we were taking the Reading test, the girl in front of me dropped her booklet/answer sheet twice, and the proctor had to walk over and get it for her. Talk about clumsy >.>

Another boy asked the proctor when she would pass out the calculators, rofl.

one girl in our room screamed right before the reading test. Turned out to a spider crawling in her hair! Our proctor ordered her to stamp out the spider but she was too scared to. some one else ended up killing it.

not too bad compared to what im seeing here but my proctor (old black lady) sounded like she was from Haiti or something and I couldnt understand a word she was saying. also she couldnt even pronounce the instructions correctly haha.

i had the form 69 hahhahah
nothing too special for me lol

a kid threw up on his test and was laughed out of the classroom. he was crying from embarassment and his sobs could be heard from out in the hallway.

there was a black girl who came in late and said she’d rape the math section when she didn’t have her calculator.

that being said, this chick kept staring at me. i’m a pretty observant individual and thought she was checking me out. i never get checked out LOL!

nothing weird happened but my proctor had absolutely no idea what was going on…
“just fill in all the boxes, but sir it says standby only?, oh ya well idk do whatever”
“area code and number idk maybe its the one on your book…I think that means phone number???..You know what your right!!”

lol

wow, thats crazy!

Hahaha, wow, i’m suprised. I didn’t think everyone would have such interesting stories :)

Right when we were about to start the test some kid raised his hand and said “i don’t want to take the essay one anymore” we had to wait 10 mins for the proctor to get all the paperwork and walk the kid down the hall. The proctor comes back and we’re about to start again and the same kid comes back and says “nevermind, I’ll take it.”

Then some girl kept asking why can’t I used a mechanical pencil… I used it on the SAT and nothing happened. The proctor kept telling her no. Then during the first break she asks him again and he walked up to her with the book and showed her. Then she used it I guess cause the proctor went up to her during the reading and took it from her and told her she’d get it back at the end.

Like what the hell, no means no…

Yeah, the girl should have stopped… but it is kind of a ridiculous rule. I’ve heard they only have it because they’re worried that someone could replace the lead with something other than #2… but I’ve heard they only ask students to use #2 because it is dark. I’m pretty sure nothing would happen if someone use a mechanical pencil.

My proctor said you can use it but she would have to write it down as an irregularity and explained that they don’t want people to use mechanical because they are more pointy and could cause holes in the paper…

I bought a thing of mechanical pencils that said “SAT/ACT approved!” I bought it and showed it to the proctor because they really are much better and he said no
