We will be in Austin the afternoon and evening of Monday 3/31 and all day Tuesday 4/1 (and the morning of 4/2). Is there anything unusual or interesting going on on campus at that time?

My daughter plans to be at UT next year. This is our second visit to UT; I happen to have a meeting in Texas during our school district's spring break week so we added on a trip to Austin. My son, who is in 8th grade, will be with us.

We are staying downtown - anything interesting going on in town those nights?

Another thing I thought of that I plan to see the next time I'm in Austin on campus is the "On the Road with the Beats" exhibit at the Ransom Center. It includes Kerouac's scroll manuscript of "On the Road".

is approx. 13 miles from campus, now a part of UT. The best time to visit the Tx Hill Country is late March/early April because of the pretty bluebonnets & many other wildflowers that you'll see on the road side.
