Aoi in pre Elec-Engineering Stony Brook University.

Hi, I have been accepted to SBU for AOi in Pre Electrical Engineering as a transfer student. I have a question. In my acceptance letter it said it said, i have to take some classes. I will be done with my A.S degree after this semester. My question is if i had to repeat any course, will it prevent me from getting accpeted into the program? For example, if i had to repeat Phy 1, will it prevent me from getting into the program. And if i complete all the requirements can i get into the program. Thank You.

@united123 Hey can you tell me what your stats were when you transferred? I also am looking to transfer to SBU

what does AOi stand for?

“AOI” is “area of interest.” It’s sort of a “pre-” major designation for students (in almost every case, engineering or comp sci majors) who are admissible to Stony Brook, but not into the specific major. In the case of engineering transfers, it’s almost always Calc and/or Physics; you’ll need to complete those first.
