AP and IB SL

I attend a public school that offers the IB program as well as many of the APs. I will be a junior next year and am pretty set on entering the IB program. Could anyone tell me how close the curriculum of standard level ib classes are compared to AP and if it would be overly challenging to take the AP exam for all the SLs that I take.
I plan to take SL Physics, SL Chemistry, and SL Psychology (They are all one-year courses at my school). In addition to this, I plan to take the AP tests for World History (self study) BC calculus, and US history (self study).
or should I just not take IB and stick to all AP classes?
Is IB that appealing to colleges in the first place?
Thank you in advance.

IB SL is pretty close to the AP curriculum. A lot of kids at my school took the AP test for the corresponding SL course. So far, I have also heard from several of my friends that there were also more failures (1’s and 2’s) among the IB SL students.

You’re IB scores, like your AP scores, are what you make of it. If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail. But I must note, studying for IB was much more difficult than AP because my class was AP based. Nevertheless I got a 6 on IB math SL and I’m pretty sure I got a 5 in ap calc ab. (fingers crossed) and I got a 5 in IB Spanish SL. So it all depends on you and your willingness to study for all the tests in May. Good luck on whatever track you choose to take.
