I swear, tell me if this is fair. For each chapter, we cover one a week, there are over 60 pieces of artwork and we have to do flashcards for every single one. Has anybody done this if so, please give me tips.
:/

Do you have to memorize each piece of artwork or something along those lines? If not, I'd say that isn't too much. Plus, flashcards are far better than writing notes, would you say?

u r over preparing ur self buddy.

well with the flashcards we also have to do notes
and its not like i want to do them, they are forces. I did the notes but the teacher wouldn't accept them he says I need to get them from lecture and not the book, and I asked where he got his lecture notes from and he says the book. Then I ask him what's the problem and then he says that he gets his notes from the annotated book and not our actual book. Im like what the hell. By the way our book is gardner's art through the ages if that matters.

I bet you think it's funny to compare a stupid CollegeBoard test to a murder of millions. Personally, I really don't get it.

AP is hard. Grow a pair.

I wish we had AP Art History :(

yeah
i do think its funny
lulz
hahahaahahahahahahahaha

Nothing compared to my AP Euro course. We did about 100 notecards per unit for 8 units.

My school AP US History class was a joke. We didn't use an AP book, and only managed to get to WWII, but we had to skip like sixty years to get to it. One day we're on Reconstruction and the next Pearl Harbor. You guys are really really lucky.

I just finished ap art history on flvs yesterday and I didn't feel it was as bas as you're saying. It isn't easy, but it's interesting. I think I'm saying this mostly cuz im glad I'm done :)

I've never seen a topic hit Godwin's Law in the title before...

I havnt even started studying and i know i cant possible finish gardeners. its boring and lengthy.. what should i do?

yeah same here
about what period do you think we should be at by now?

right now should be renaissance
i dont really like the class, too much focus on pre-renaissance stuff
best stuff in the Gardeners book is those little highlighted sections...thats the crap on the test. I know cuz my teacher gives us old ap tests for tests all the time

P.S: MAPPLETHORPE IS ONE SICK M***********

Do you mean tests as in class or in AP?

he gives us old "AP tests" as "tests in class".

never go in depth with the actual art pieces. They ask lots of CULTURE questions. Like stuff significant w/ the art and culture of that civilization or period.

Oh ok
thanks, it makes sense because he gave us a released free response and I didnt really have to know specifics. I just had to name one and how of represented the hostility and the culture of the time.
:D

im just relying on the the Barrons prep book which will come out soon.
