AP Bio and AP Chem at the same time senior year crisis

I am currently a junior who would like to major in biochemistry and possibly go to pharmacy school. I feel like I have made a lot of mistakes in high school in terms of picking the correct courses to prepare for college. I took honors bio and chem in freshmen and sophomore years respectively, and I did very well in both. Then came the end of sophomore year and I went through a difficult time emotionally and my motivation for school dropped especially after taking some difficult classes I had no interest in such as whap. I originally planned to take AP chem junior year and AP bio senior year but I switch out of chem last minute before junior year started to take the easy way out and switched into apes and a&p as AP chem is notoriously hard at my school. I thought I might enjoy apes a lot, but I didn’t despite still doing well in it. I did enjoy a&p a lot though. In hindsight, I should have just stuck with AP chem because I that would have been much more important for preparing for college. Now I’m stuck having to take both AP chem and AP bio at the same time to take both. I want to do this to truly see if I can handle a biochemistry major in college and to truly understand what my passion is and to get a good idea of how rigorous college is. Is this worth it or am i just better off to take just one and if so, which one will prepare me more for biochem? I am aware this will be hell on earth but I really need to figure out if I am suited to majoring in science in college or not and to be well prepared for college rigor. I am not planning to take any other AP’s with these, which should make it a lot more manageable.
Thanks for feedback.

What schools are you targeting?

Have you taken Physics?

I wouldn’t advise taking both AP Chem and AP Bio together senior year, especially if you know AP Chem is a notoriously difficult class at your school. AP Bio can be very time consuming as well.

@AlwaysLearn I live in Texas and I’m targeting schools in Dallas such as UTD, SMU, and TCU. I’m more worried about being prepared for college rigor than what school I go to. I have taken physics as well

I would go with just one, AP Bio, in that case.

If you really want to take both, maybe take one over the summer and the other senior year? However, I think you will be good with taking just one.

This is true, but why do you think you need to take both? No school expects multiple science APs and the courseload would be extremely challenging during a busy Senior year.
