What has been your experience with these classes? is it easy, hard?

bump bump bumppp

anyone???

bumppp same question

I’m taking AP Enviro. on FLVS.

It’s hard.

1) Labs take a long time to do.

2) Module tests are LONG.

3) The final exam is INSANE. Keasbey Nights, a regular on the fora, told me there were 300 m/c questions and 33 essays you had to complete for the final exam.

33 essays? That is insane.

Anyone taken Art Hist.?

FLVS for AP Art History was great! If I had tried a little harder I think I could have learned everything I’d ever need to know. Just thoroughly read through the galleries and do the practice interactive and you should be fine. & stay on pace.
I definitely recommend it.

300 MC and 33 essays? That’s beyond psychocrazy. Plus, I requested that course. Haven’t gotten in yet, but I may drop it if it seems too insane for me.

How long did it take you to finish AP Art History?

Yea AP Environmental looks difficult. The first lab takes a long time to do, however, my teacher is nice.

That’s good to know! Can’t wait to get into my course. Taking forever though

AP Bio is definitely a difficult class for most people.

I loved my bio class! It was kinda hard but I’m pretty sure all the studying payed off(: I think I got a 3 or 4 on my exam. I’m anxious to know my score!

I took it with FLVS while I was taking courses at my regular school. I started the first Segment as they call it, in October and finished approx. in January and then I started the second Segment in January and finished in May.

My grace period is coming to an end, and based on the difficulty, I’m thinking about dropping the course. However, I plan to major in zoology(becoming an ornithologist), and this class is the stuff I like, and I’m thinking colleges would like to see this. Should I keep or drop the course?

wait does it actually count as a grade :O

I am in AP art history on FLVS right now. I’m not sure if I will keep with it or drop it, still in my grace period. I like the class though, I would only drop it because my schedule is going to be pretty busy this coming year. But what I can say about it, so far, and from what I’ve looked ahead at, is that it’s almost entirely just essay writing. There are also multiple choice tests, but so far I haven’t found any assignments that aren’t just essays. That being said, the essays can be short or long essays and the short “essay” seems to be 2-3 paragraphs.

Anyway, it definitely seems to be an improvement on the other AP class I took on FLVS, which was computer science. That class was a mess and there was an insanely ridiculous amount of work and badly written lessons. Art History seems pretty mild workload and interesting, so far.

Do you have to be floridian to do courses on FLVS?

No you don’t, but the process is different for out-of-state students, I’m assuming more difficult to arrange and set up with your school, and you also have to pay. It’s free for Florida students and the school districts are set up to automatically incorporate our FLVS courses into our transcripts. You should check out the FLVS website though, I’m not sure how much it costs, and maybe ask your school.

thanks guys :)
