Yeah umm i need help.... i cant find any general differences between photosynthetic eukaryotes and photosynthetic prokaryotes, i dont need to know the differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes but i need to know the difference between PHOTOSYNTHETIC eukaryotes and prokaryotes... if somebody could tell me some or give me a website about this it would be greatly appreciated

Number one diff in proks/euks regarding PS is that in proks it does not happen in a chloroplast, the cholropyll just sorta floats around. Isn't there a theory that chloroplasts used to be symbiotic proks that just lived inside another cell?

Ok here is the differences i know.... prokaryotes lack chloroplasts... plasma membranes are site of photosynthesis in prokaryotes... and im thinking that b/c of the difference in size there must be some difference in the rate of photosynthesis but im not sure, can someone confirm that... I really dont think i can write much with the stuff that i have.. more would be appreciated

It would help if you gave us the exact topic you're writing the essay on

...Indicate ways in which a photosynthetic prokaryotic cell would differ from a photosynthetic eukaryotic cell

couple quick things:

some bacteria are going to use different chemicals to get electrons than plants, such as hydrogen sulfide

some use different pigments to absorb light energy such as phycocyinin or something like that I think

thats all I can think of right now.

thanks much, i think i can stretch this out with random facts and bs and get a decent grade

^^^ that is true skill
