AP Bio or AP Chem Junior Year?

Ok, I know it is a little early to be thinking about this, however I am a sophmore right now and I am taking Honors chem and next year I am going to be taking these AP’s

-APUSH
-AP English Lang
-AP Russian

-And I want to take an AP science too, perferable AP CHEM, however I heard that it is hard and I do not want it to lower my gpa since I will be taking the other 3 aps and will be engaging in a lot of extracurriculars.

I heard that AP BIO is easier than AP CHEM but colleges favor AP CHEM in junior year. Whichever AP science I do not take this year I will be taking senior year.

Which AP science is better for junior year?
p.s I will be taking honors physics in junior year too if that makes a difference

The workload of any course, even an AP course, is dependent upon the teacher. You’re better off asking students currently taking the class at your school. IME, both are about the same workload.

Not true. They are viewed equally.

Since you’re taking the other one senior year, it really does not matter. One thing you might want to check out is which AP test students at your school perform better on. If the difference is dramatically different, I’d take the course with the better test results, since colleges will not see your senior year AP scores before admissions decisions are made.

It depends if you are good at memorization or application. Ap bio is just memorization while ap chem has math and many topics to apply.

I don’t know if you’ve taken bio recently, but it is actually rather difficult and not just memorization. Hence the low percentage of students receiving 5s (<8).
