I want to major in some kind of engineering (not sure what yet) and I've already taken physics and ap chem and i am going to take:

ap physics next year. also taking ap calc next year. i want to take stat because it's a lot less memorization and my course load will be heavy enough. but should i choose bio instead because it'll help me with engineering more? (i'm considering biomedical) or could i just catch up on bio in college so it's not necessary to take in high school?

Take AP Biology. AP Stats doesn't teach you the real application very well, only the method. Besides, Bio is more fun. I'd rather learn about molecular genetics than have to do several hours of number-crunching and graphing each night =D

id personally take stat. im more of a math person than a science person. and you want a good looking sched, but not TOO much work senior year, so in that case i'd go with stat. however, if you're interested in the biomedical field you should take bio.

yea, if you're a rising senior, then do Stat. you'll want to kill yourself right about now with all the APs. senioritis can hit you, too, regardless of what you think now.

if you really want to make the commitment, then do Bio. prepare for memorization.

AP Biology may be more memorization, but in my eyes it's a lot less time consuming than AP Stat. When I started out AP Stat this year (I was in the class for 2 weeks before I transferred to APCS and never looked back), I had about 4 hours of homework each night, and all it was... was drawing graphs and crunching numbers to get standard deviation or something. Not worth my time at all, and VERY boring. Especially since you're already in Calc, you don't wanna do more math than you can handle.

Besides, won't it be cool to say you took all the main AP sciences? ;D (sans Psychology and EnvSci)

Biology is more content heavy. Since your senior schedule looks loaded already, I would go with statistics. Statistics is necessary for all engineering majors, while biology is necessary only for certain fields of engineering. If you take biology in college, you'll probably understand it better than if you were credited for the AP. But with statistics, it really doesn't matter if you take it in college or high school.
