AP Biology or AP Physics 1?

For next year I only have 1 space left for my schedule and have to pick between the two. I want to take AP Bio because a 5 on the exam fulfills a section of your Gen Ed requirements for college and I love the teacher. I also want to take AP Physics because it’s a really interesting class and I really like the teacher. Im taking physics honors now and its really hard but really interesting.

You can get credit for both classes if you do well on the exam, and it definitely depends on where you end up going. Physics I is pretty hard to do well on for the exam, and I think ap bio has a better pass rate (not sure though). However, if you think you’ll enjoy physics, I’d take it because a lot of people love biology but hate ap bio.

I’d seriously search yourself before taking AP Physics 1. There are people in my class that have already learned 90% of the curriculum the previous year and are still earning mid 70s on almost all the tests. Its the lowest passed AP exam for a reason, as the math based nature of honors based physics is replaced by completely conceptual questions.
