***AP Biology Thread 2015-2016***

So any prediction on curves??? Anyone know what it was like last year with the curve??

@Fouzia The SAT II Bio was a little hard, imo, but the content was predictable and matched some review books’ practice tests; all in all, a more fair test than the ap bio test

was it 15 kb or 7 kb? I thought it might be 15 since prokaryotes don’t splice anything out, but I also thought it might be 7 kb since prokaryotes don’t have introns in the first place.

i think it should be 15kb cause no introns were removed.
.
sorry for asking so many times but does anyone remember that
question with logistic growth of a deer population.

@tryptophanoverload That’s exactly what I was thinking during the test, but I think the correct answer is 15kb

@BOBROSS I believe the answer was 193

@iwanttogetintocollege bump…anyone have curve predictions?

Just making sure, but for the obligate mutualism graph, both of the plants have lines going down because they can’t survive without each other Rt?

@Lebronjamesisbad i made it that the lines became more close to flattening out. I didn’t think that the plants would be unable to survive without each other so I assumed the mass just would stop increasing for both plants.

What did you guys think of the FRQ about the mussels/salinity

@glassflowers Baekhyun!! Haha

On the other hand the obligate mutualism graph, I thought the lines for both plants would go up because they’re benefiting though? Ah whatever

@latiere I did the same with the mutualism graph. I didn’t bother trying to overthink it lol.

@BOBROSS But isn’t obligate mutualism when the plants can’t survive without each other?, So wouldn’t they end up dying and lose more mass?

@Lebronjamesisbad yes you would be correct. I thought it was just mutualism not obligate mutualism.

@latiere haha do you like kpop?

@Lebronjamesisbad I didn’t put them straight down right away, but I think that could work, depending on your explanation

I did decreasing too

did it really say obligate mutualism? this is the first time i’m hearing of it being on the test

I’m pretty sure it said obligate mutualism, or something with the word ‘obligate’ in it

Yeah it definitely said Obligate mutualism, I would know because I almost spent ten minutes just trying to figure out What that even meant, then I ended up skipping one frq. Thanks AP bio

I’m pretty sure I got a 70% frq and a 72% mc what score would that net? Would that be a score of 3?
