@glassflowers Yep! I’m a huge ARMY and EXO-L. I’m also a K-drama enthusiast, as shown by my profile pic… My bias is Kyungsoo and Park Jimin in both groups respectively
@BOBROSS that’s more than a 3 for sure… 4 or maybe 5? The curve is insane you know. Plus, some questions are thrown out so that might work to your favor. You’ll probably get a 5 since you’re smart haha
I had no idea what obligate actually meant so I went up with the graphs… I’m an idiot. At least I got the parasite one right lol
I’m don’t think you need 79% to get a 5 this year because it varies every year and the 2013 test (at least the frqs) was easier than this years in my opinion and that curve is based of the 2013 test. Plus they throw questions out which can only benefit you.
Anyone recall the last part of the first question and what it asked? It was something about mussels on rocks? How much do you think its worth. Also, what do you think the curve will be this year? 93 for a 5? Lower or higher?
Btw for the eDNA question would you get points for saying that the eDNA was carried by wind to the other lake that’s why it appeared there even though the fish weren’t there and that the longer segment is easier to identify and investigate under scientific equipment?
For the introns question what if you had >15 kb (I had 18kb) because the original gene looks bigger than the mRNA which they said was 15kb so I assumed it would be a bit longer than the mRNA? You think that would receive credit?
@SAT4Breakfast I had a really weird answer with the eDNA. I talked about identical tandem repeating dna sequences and why that could be a reason why the fish dna came back as carp but no carp were there.
@Lebronjamesisbad Thanks. I just saw that part of the video. I think he may be mistaken though. For example, what if a person scored lower than 79% on the multiple choice but aced the essays? What are your thoughts? This worries me because I think that I am right on that 79% mark for multiple choice… Also, I base my thoughts on the “2015 AP Biology Scoring Worksheet.”
This test was easyyyy brooo!!! MC was basically common sense lol. FRQs were same. the bacteria question was definatly nutrient 1 (it gets used up the fastest!!) I didnt know what to do about the advantage of that. Maybe they are able to metabolize it faster idk. The gene thing was just explaining the function of a inducible operon like the lac operon. And then the only other part of the frq that was tough was the one where it was like why is there population lag? I put that there needed to be enough concetration buildup of the by product of nutrient one for the bacteria to induce the repressor to unbind and allow the enezymes for the proteins to break down nutrient 2.
MC that were confusing-
The steriod hormone just goes through by simple diffusion right (lol I forgot but im pretty sure)
The MHC one kind of threw off but it was super easy
Did yall get like 190, .63, .5, 12.3 and I cant remmeber the last 2. Do yall?
@SAT4Breakfast Honestly I dont know if my answer was acceptable, but your reasoning seems good as well. I don’t see why you wouldn’t get points for your answer. In fact I wish I thought of your reasoning while i was taking the test
wait, even if its obligate mutualism, shouldn’t the graph still have a positive slope for both lines? doesnt seem like any reason that it wouldnt be. and for parasite, the parasite increases while host declines correct?
@pingpongplaya Hmm The scoring worksheet seems very lenient especially altering throwing out twelve questions my only concern is, let’s say I got around a 52/69 on mc, and they throw 12 questions out, does that mean I get a 52/57 or do I get the number of mc I got right minus those 12 divided by 57?, But seeing that u got around a 79 percent on mc, that’s pretty good, not bad, u will probably do fine.
