The third marking period is almost over for my school district. Reviewing what I need to turn in, and extra credit work it looks like I will have a C in the class. If so this will be my third 3 in the class, for every marking period I've got a C. Will universities not make a big deal out of my grades in Ap Biology? My top choice is Michigan State University followed by University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. My chances getting accepted into these schools are lower?

Also universities only see transcript, and not each marking period?

Pretty sure it won't make a big difference unless you applied as a bio major,
but hold on, you'd rather goto MSU over U of M?? Why in the world...

I plan to major in pre-medicine. Which is likely to be a biology major. I mean I'm usually good in Biology, science in general. I've just experience throughout high school lately not so good grades in those classes I guess.

I prefer Michigan State University over University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, though University of Michigan- Ann Arbor is my second choice. I like that Michigan State University have a large campus, nice landscape ( areas of many trees, but also areas of open land like in front of halls). You can experience getting lost on campus, or lost within the college town of East Lansing... with all the shopping/ resturants across the street. You also have a friendly student body, fun campus, great college atmosphere etc..... There are pro's and con's about both universities.

ugh AP Bio is a pain..
i don't think it would really affect you because it is an AP class and it looks good if you take AP classes your senior year because it means you're "challenging" yourself

Have you been to Ann Arbor? Ann Arbor's all trees. And a very large campus. But the overlying fact is that U of M is an research powerhouse nationally and internationally while MSU is a decent state school at best. U of M Med ranks along with Columbia Med, if I remember right. It seems like you're a Michigan resident, so you'll get in-state tuition at both schools. I'd go with U of M hands down if you get into both. If you declared yourself a bio major on your app, maybe it'll hurt, but if you put down undeclared and "intend" to major in bio, it shouldn't be a big problem.

No, I haven't visited Ann Arbor/ University of Michigan- Ann Arbor but plan to my senior year with the school. I've seen University of Michigan- Ann Arbor campus on google street view. As though their campus may be nice, it's very split... not one large campus like Michigan State University. Yeah University of Michigan- Ann Arbor as many trees, green campus which is nice though it does lack another landscape Michigan State University have which is nice to walk through/ by on sunny days or any day.... large open land. You typically find this large open land in front/ around of Michigan State University residence halls. I have yet found any other university with really nice landscape like Michigan State University. I like University of Michigan- Ann Arbor a lot, and is located in a nice college town, and would be thrilled with a acceptance letter as well.
