AP Calc AB vs. AP Stats vs. no math senior year

Hey guys,

So I’ve taken four years worth of math my past three years of high school (Algebra 1 Honors, Geometry Honors, Pre-calc 1 Honors, pre-calc 2 honors) but now I’m not sure what to do in terms of math for my senior year.

Math is my worst subject (I’ve gotten between B- and A- for all my math classes) and I always have to study a ton to keep up. This year my choice is between AP Calc AB, AP Stats, or no math class at all. I’ve heard AP Stats is easier but I’m not sure which would look better for college.

The reason I’m considering no math at all is because I already have a busy schedule:

AP Lit
APUSH
AP Micro
Cloud Computing (SUPA Course)
Introduction to Computing
Phys Ed
Painting (requirement)

with AP Calc or AP Stats I would have four APs + a SUPA course. Our school also makes us intern on Wednesdays so I would miss out on the class once a week and then have to catch up. I’m planning on doing something politics related if that’ll help you guys help me.

Please let me know what you guys think I should do and why I should do it, thank you so much!

Also if this is the wrong category in the forum, feel free to move it mods

For political science, you may need some statistics or a major-specific quantitative methods course.

If you want to go more hard core into the quantitative aspects (e.g. analyzing elections and polls), then you may eventually need calculus and calculus-based statistics.

For CS, you will need calculus.

I’m not interested in going into CS, those classes are just required

Take AP Calc.
