I am a sophomore at a boarding school and I have to decide the courses to take next year.
For math, I can take Ap calculus Ab or AP Calculus BC. But I am not very good at math even though I have taken honor Algebra II and Honor Precalculus. And I am thinking about taking AP calculus AB instead of BC. But I am afraid that my admission will get hurt if I do not take the most rigorous math class. So my qustion is "

I know that the way that BC Calc is presented makes it appear like a much more rigorous class, and while it is more theoretically difficult, the math is truly only more challenging in one section (series) and if you want to be premed, calc 2 is something you’ll have to master either way. Of course taking the class that better suits your needs should be your first priority, and if that is AB then that should be the class for you. I would just be sure that BC is really out of your reach. Calculus isn’t like any math you’ve done before. It’s not memorization and application any more, it’s using what you’ve learned previously as tools to aid the process of beginning to grasp the fundamental concepts.

At the end of HPC, did you do difference quotients? And if so, did that thought process register with you?
